Updated: May 12, 2021

Satyajit Ray, the filmmaker, author, lyricist, illustrator, editor, music composer and polyglot, would have turned 100 on May 2nd, 2021. We honor this mystical genius for his unparalleled contributions to film, literature and culture.

Satyajit Ray’s birth centenary is being observed amidst a raging global pandemic that has claimed more than 3 million lives. This initiative by Gitika Trust is a tribute to frontline COVID-19 warriors committed against all odds to saving lives.
